Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking an experienced Wound Care clinician to perform a broad range of patient care activities within the OP clinic. You will collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients, manage wound therapies, and participate in advanced procedures under supervision.

The role requires GA licensure for Advanced Practice Nursing or PA, with ACLS and wound care certificationsPreferred.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: ACLS within 6 months; wound care certification preferred; CPR/ACLS required.

Responsibilities

Performs evaluations for new patients and follow-up visits; oversees patient care by clinicians within the clinic.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; reviews tests and participates in clinical trials as needed.
Collects patient histories, conducts exams, documents in records, and prepares problem-focused workups.
Orders and interprets laboratory studies; explains procedures to patients and obtains consent.
Carries out therapeutic procedures (debridement, dressings, casts); monitors patient progress and coordinates with supervising physician.
Makes diagnoses and formulates treatment plans; provides patient education and coordinates post-procedure care.
