Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation seeks an experienced APP for wound care, collaborating with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include patient evaluations, diagnostic procedures, and wound management, with a focus on promoting health and managing acute and chronic conditions.

The role requires GA nursing/APN or PA licensure, CPR/ACLS, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school with a Georgia Advanced Practice Nursing license and a Master's degree in Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited PA program with current Georgia license and NCCPA.
• CPR/ACLS certification required; hyperbaric medicine training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations for new patients and follow-ups; oversee day-to-day patient care with clinicians.
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; review tests and prescribe treatments as per scope of practice.
• Document patient histories, physical exams, and progress notes; obtain consent and coordinate with specialists as needed.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; explain procedures and prepare patient education materials.
• Perform wound care procedures and monitor healing progress; liaise with supervising physician for complex cases.
