Job summary
CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound NP to provide wound care services for residents in skilled nursing facilities. The role includes prescribing appropriate medications and coordinating with the healing team.
The ideal candidate will hold an Arkansas NP license with board certification and have experience with wound care and chronic wounds, including familiarity with wound VACs and DME. Collaboration with physicians and facility staff is essential.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted NP license in Arkansas.
- Board Certification in appropriate NP specialty.
- DEA licensure is optional but a plus.
- Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric care.
- Experience with wound care and chronic wounds recommended.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Arkansas law.
- Order, review and follow up on treatments and diagnostic tests.
- Communicate with nursing home staff about condition changes and care plans.
- Collaborate with the primary care physician and interdisciplinary team.
