Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (MSN preferred).
• APNP license in state of practice and RN license.
• Evidence-based wound care knowledge; CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain timely consult schedule.
• Coordinate care with General Surgery and other health professionals.
• Develop wound care program protocols.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Document according to standards of care.
• Initiate individualized patient care plans.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Support systemwide wound care team development.
• Ensure current wound care practices with evidence-based care.
• Document complete wound assessments and treatments.
• Provide patient and family instruction.
