Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a School of Practical Nursing with Nebraska license.
• Must enroll in WTA class within 6 months of hire and complete within 12 months.
• CPR certification required (AHA/Red Cross accepted).

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor wounds and manage a range of skin lesions.
• Provide comprehensive wound management, including debridement and dressing.
• Educate patients and caretakers on wound care, infection prevention, and pressure ulcer care.
• Complete Medicare documentation and promote wound healing and skin breakdown prevention.
• Cares for ostomies, diabetic foot care and more.
• Inpatient and outpatient care, including pre- and post-operative education.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and universal precautions.
