Job summary

St. Joseph's Villa Center is seeking a Wound Care Nurse LPN to join our healthcare team.

You will provide daily nursing care in accordance with each resident’s care plan and physician orders, focusing on wound care, ostomy and continence issues where applicable. The successful candidate will oversee nursing assistants, monitor skin integrity to prevent ulcers, administer medications, and document resident responses.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care per residents' assessments and care plans.
• Direct day-to-day nursing assistants per regulations.
• Evaluate skin integrity to prevent decubitus ulcers.
• Administer medications and transcribe orders.
• Document nursing notes reflecting resident responses.
• Develop in-service education and train new staff.
