Job summary

Aviata at South Daytona is seeking a dedicated Wound Care and Infection Preventionist to join our resident-focused team. You will develop, implement, and evaluate the Infection Control and Prevention Program, and lead efforts to prevent and manage infections across the facility.

The role requires RN or LPN with a Nursing Diploma and appropriate license, plus Infection Control certification per Appendix PP at F880.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with Nursing Diploma and associated license
• Certification in Infection Control per Appendix PP at F880 is required before assuming the role

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the Wound Specialist Physician and the nursing staff
• Develop and achieve Wound Care Program objectives
• Provide educational programming and staff development
• Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to promote wound healing
• Provide direct resident care in wound assessment, treatment, and follow-up
• Plan and direct the Infection Control and Prevention Program per federal, state, and local standards
• Investigate and report infections to the QAPI committee
• Participate in on-call rotations
