Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess current wound care and CPR certifications.
• Minimum of one year of wound care experience; two years preferred.
• Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of practice.
• Compassionate, dedicated, and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between wound care physician and nursing staff.
• Contribute to development and achievement of wound care program objectives.
• Provide staff development and educational programming.
• Assist in implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote wound healing and patient outcomes.
• Deliver direct resident wound care and follow-up as ordered by the physician.
• Support in developing individualized treatment plans and coordinating with care teams.
• Communicate with physicians to discuss resident care and aid regulatory inspections.
• Support innovations to improve systems and processes for better results.
