Avantara Lake Zurich is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our caring team. You will support the treatment doctor and wound care team, delivering wound care services with professionalism and compassion.

The role emphasizes lifting and repositioning residents, observing changes in condition, maintaining a safe environment, and ongoing education for residents and staff. A licensed Illinois RN with CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered Illinois RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the treatment doctor and wound care team in delivering services.
• Assist residents with lifting, turning and repositioning during wound care.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and provide ongoing wound care education.

As a Wound Care Nurse you are instrumental in improving the lives of our residents. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Lake Zurich by providing support to the Treatment Doctor and wound care team, assisting the patients with the delivery of wound care services under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, with lifting, turning and repositioning of residents during the delivery of wound care, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, a License, an unencumbered State of Illinois and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of Wound Care experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
