Second Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas, is seeking an Associate Pastor of Worship & Discipleship to join our pastoral team in a season of ministry and growth. This role combines leading congregational worship with strategic discipleship, pastoral care, and team development, all within a conservative Southern Baptist framework.

The ideal candidate will have a clear salvation testimony, biblical qualifications for church leadership, strong vocal and instrumental gifts, and a shepherd's heart

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of salvation and call to Gospel ministry.
• Meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
• Fully affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Possess strong vocal and instrumental ability with experience leading and developing others musically.
• Demonstrate a heart for biblical discipleship, leadership development, and the local church.

Responsibilities

• Lead congregational worship, plan services, and select music.
• Recruit, shepherd, and develop musicians and vocalists.
• Develop leaders, equip teachers, and strengthen Life Groups.
• Participate in pastoral ministry, occasional preaching and care.
