Job summary

Sunnyside Alliance Church is seeking a Worship Director to lead the Sunday morning music ministry and to recruit and shepherd volunteers for the worship team. The role also oversees the audio/visual booth, tech teams, and our social media, website, and Planning Center.

The position involves planning services with leadership, coordinating special events, and often includes evenings for rehearsals and weekend services. A heart for worship and collaborative leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Christian faith and heart for worship.
• Previous worship leadership or tech team management experience.
• Proficiency leading a band and vocalists.
• Ability to recruit, train and shepherd volunteers.
• Familiarity with audio systems and stage lighting.
• Collaborate on design of Sunday services and special events.
• Lead rehearsals and Sunday worship, often as musician.
• Oversee audio-visual equipment and software.
• Organize weekly volunteer rotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sunday morning music ministry and grow volunteers.
• Oversee audio/visual booth and tech teams.
• Manage social media, church website, and planning center.
• Plan and coordinate services and events (Christmas, Easter).
• Schedule and coordinate volunteers.
• Occasional evenings for rehearsals and weekend services.
• Maintain regular office hours.
