Job summary

New City Church is seeking a Worship Ministry Director to lead worship and grow a healthy worship ministry across our campuses. The ideal candidate loves Jesus, leads worship confidently, and builds strong teams.

You will plan Sunday services with the Pastor, recruit and develop volunteers, and oversee production needs while managing music, tracks, and service plans using Planning Center. This role reports to the Campus Pastor and requires a Christ-centered, team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Growing relationship with Jesus and Christian character.
• Strong vocalist and/or instrumentalist with experience leading worship.
• Communicates clearly and leads people well.
• Can recruit, develop, and build volunteer teams.
• Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and flexible.
• Willing to learn Planning Center and worship technology.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead worship during weekly Sunday services.
• Plan and lead weekly worship rehearsals.
• Work closely with the Pastor to plan Sunday services.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and care for worship and production volunteers.
• Prepare music, tracks, arrangements, and service plans using Planning Center.
• Provide leadership for audio, video, and other production needs.
• Build relationships with team members and help them grow spiritually and as leaders.
• Participate in staff meetings, church events, outreach, and ministry planning.
• Help develop and manage the annual worship ministry budget.
