Mount Pleasant Community Church in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking a Worship Arts Coordinator to lead the Mount Pleasant Campus worship ministry under the direction of the Campus Pastor and Director of Worship Arts. This role creates distraction-free worship environments and oversees services, volunteers, and technical elements.

The position emphasizes leadership, biblical grounding, and teamwork across campuses to deliver high-quality worship experiences weekly.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Excellent people management skills with staff and volunteers.
• Experience in ministry in a medium to large church setting.
• An engaging communicator with a strong biblical and theological background.
• A self-motivated leader possessing relational skills with staff, volunteers and congregation.
• Experience in leading and developing worship consisting of musicians and instrumentalists.
• Familiarity with technology that supports the worship ministry including Planning Center Online, Ableton, Vista Pro, etc.
• Basic proficiency with Google Workspace applications (Google Docs, Google Sheets).
• Basic proficiency with database software (Community Church to provide training).
• Undergraduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute weekly worship services in collaboration with the Campus Pastor and Director of Worship Arts, ensuring excellence in musical and technical aspects.
• Demonstrate proficiency as a vocalist and instrumentalist in worship leadership.
• Oversee all technical and creative elements of worship services at the campus level, including audio/visual systems, stage design and media integration.
• May provide direct supervision of campus staff, assistant directors, or interns as assigned.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor campus volunteers and staff to build healthy, capable ministry teams.
