Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks a part‑time Employer Engagement Graduate Assistant for Worlds of Work to coordinate logistics for career events and initiatives at the Phoenix campus. You will manage on‑site and virtual events, liaise with employers, faculty, and student organizations, and ensure quality execution.

You will handle registrations, tech setup, and post‑event reporting, supporting continuous improvement while adhering to university policies and budgets.

Qualifications

• Be admitted to a graduate degree seeking program at GCU.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during employment.
• Be enrolled as a regular degree‑seeking student for at least 6 graduate units.
• Hiring departments may require higher enrollment.
• Graduate Assistants are eligible for tuition waiver (may be taxable).
• Follow HR employment workflows and pre‑employment background checks.
• Restricted work hours (max 29 hours/week).
• Incomplete grades must be removed to continue assistantship.
• Graduate Assistants are part‑time and not eligible for university benefits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistics for on-campus and virtual Worlds of Work events (capstone showcases, career fairs, panels, networking).
• Secure venues, manage room reservations, equipment, and supplies; develop run‑of‑show documents and checklists.
• Coordinate virtual and hybrid events using Zoom, Symplicity, and Teams; collaborate with employers and university partners.
• Manage registrations via Symplicity; provide day‑of-event tech support and troubleshooting; track attendance and post‑event metrics.
• Support event budgeting, reimbursements, and compliance with university policies and safety protocols.
