Job summary

BRADLEY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a dedicated Foreign Language Teacher to instruct Spanish in a middle/high school setting in Tennessee. The role focuses on comprehensive language education, including speaking, reading, writing, grammar and translation, while promoting cultural understanding.

The teacher will plan engaging, differentiated lessons for three 90-minute periods daily, monitor progress, and collaborate with staff to foster a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Requires TN state certification as foreign language teacher in the language taught.
• Endorsement codes: Spanish 009, Spanish 7-12 409, Spanish PreK-12 495, Spanish 169.
• Bachelor's degree in education discipline; Master's degree preferred.
• Successful foreign language teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops foreign language curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates lesson plans and materials for 90-minute periods.
• Teaches language skills: reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, translation.
• Delivers instruction inclusive of diverse learners and special needs.
• Conducts ongoing assessment and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Maintains records of student progress and communicates with parents.
• Collaborates with grade-level teams and participates in meetings.
