Job summary

Biltmore Bistro in Asheville, NC is seeking a friendly Service Bartender to greet guests and craft beverages and espresso drinks. You will maintain bar cleanliness, stock, and safety while delivering world-class hospitality and supporting the restaurant team.

Requirements include a minimum of six months of bartending, training such as TIPS/ALE, strong math and mixology skills, and excellent communication with guests of diverse backgrounds. Must be 21+.

Qualifications

• TIPS, ALE and other related training required.
• 6+ months bartending experience; 1+ year preferred.
• Basic math skills; ability to create/follow recipes with proper mixology techniques.
• Strong commitment to delivering world-class guest service.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage diverse guests professionally.
• Proactive, with good judgment and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented.
• Strong organizational skills; able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Willingness to learn about Biltmore, events, and Asheville area.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner according to standards.
• Keep bar and public areas neat, clean, and debris-free at all times.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest complaints to standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure areas are stocked, prepped, and set.
• Perform opening/closing duties as assigned.
• Create alcoholic beverages following approved recipes.
• Prepare espresso beverages promptly, using equipment correctly.
• Clean and organize back stock areas.
• Handle keg changes and lifting of cases of wine/beer and other physical tasks.
