Job summary

Lenovo in North Carolina is seeking an ambitious Workstation Account Executive to drive new opportunities and revenue across our professional Workstation products. You will partner with Lenovo Client Managers, PC Specialists, and Channel Account Managers to grow the sales pipeline and close high-value deals.

You’ll manage complex sales cycles, deliver compelling presentations, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of strategic sales and operational experience, preferably in highly matrixed structures.
  • Strong and successful customer facing experience and knowledgeable in complex sales cycles.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Build sales opportunity pipeline across K12 customers by supporting and enabling Lenovo Client Managers, PC Specialists and Channel Account Managers.
  • Identify and qualify leads, deliver presentations, negotiate contracts, and secure new clients as well as fostering relationships with existing ones.
  • Engaged in strategic selling, closing deals with high value ROI for both the clients and the company.
  • Understand and deliver weekly sales forecast metrics and opportunity/pipeline management.
  • Guide complex sales cycles across several deals in the assigned territory and coordinate with internal resources.

Who You’ll Work With

At Lenovo, we manufacture one of the world’s widest portfolios of connected products, including PCs (ThinkPad, Yoga, Lenovo Legion), some of the most powerful Workstations in the category, tablets, smartphones, virtual/augmented reality and smart home/office solutions and services. In this role you will be representing the Workstation product portfolio for our IDG business.

What You’ll Do

The ideal Workstation Account Executive will be aggressive, goal‑oriented, articulate and possess strong collaboration skills. A technical mindset with the self‑motivation to reach high performance goals is a must. An understanding of Professional Workstation performance and solutions is preferred.

You will work to build sales opportunity pipeline across K12 customers through supporting and enabling Lenovo Client Managers, PC Specialists and Channel Account Managers. Beyond driving Professional Workstation revenue through the collective sales teams you support, the successful execution of this role will include identifying and qualifying leads, delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, and securing new clients as well as fostering relationships with existing ones. You will be engaged in strategic selling, closing deals with high value ROI for both the clients and the company.

A critical function of this role will include understanding and delivering weekly sales forecast metrics and opportunity/pipeline management. A strong Workstation Account Executive will have a high capacity for guiding complex sales cycles simultaneously across several deals in the assigned territory. This person should be comfortable engaging internal resources for help creating the bandwidth needed to maintain a productive territory.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of strategic sales and operational experience, preferably in highly matrixed structure
  • Strong and successful customer facing experience and knowledgeable in complex sales cycles
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Superior organizational skills and project/time management abilities
  • Creative mindset for technology solutions with ability to identify ROI for both the client and the company
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify and explain complex problems
  • Excellent sales execution skills and assertiveness to track and follow the client decision process end-to-end
  • The highest level of integrity and an unwavering sense of what is best for the business
  • Executive level presentation skills and a comfort level presenting to an audience is preferred
  • Experience in the K12 space an advantage.
