Job summary

Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division North America (SRDNA) in Deer Park, Texas is seeking a Workshop Service Technician to join our shop-based team. You will maintain and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work using company software.

This role reports to the Workshop Supervisor and supports our growth in the Oil Free air rental business across North America. We value hands-on electromechanical skills, safety, and the ability to work in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as an industrial service field mechanic.
• Electromechanical degree or equivalent training.
• Experience with maintenance, overhaul, and repair of equipment including electrical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments with varying temperatures.
• Good command of English; second language is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the fleet in the shop.
• Change oil, oil filters, and air filters on equipment returning from rental.
• Wash equipment returning from rental.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning equipment.
• Repair equipment in the shop.
• Perform preventive maintenance across the territory.
• Develop and optimize efficient processes and routines.
• Improve measurable success toward business targets.
• Document all work daily using company hardware and software.

Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Workshop Service Technician. You will be part of our workshop team reporting to Workshop Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in the shop. It will be your mission to support Atlas Copco Rental North America's growth strategy as a leader in the Oil Free air rental business in North America. By joining our team, you will contribute to our commitment to excellence and help us deliver outstanding results to our customers.

Your day-to-day

• Maintain the fleet in the shop
• You will change oil/oil filters/air filters on equipment coming back in from rent
• You will wash equipment returning from rent
• You will troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment
• You will repair down equipment in the shop
• You will perform preventative maintenance on equipment throughout the territory
• You will develop and optimize efficient processes and routines
• You will improve measurable success to business targets
• You will document all work performed daily using company provided hardware and software

Your Skills And Experience

• You have 2 - 3 years experience as an industrial related service field mechanic
• You should have an appropriate electromechanical degree or training
• You should have demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of different industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• You will be expected to lift up to 50 pounds and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with walking, standing, reaching, bending, and kneeling
• You should have good command in English and a second language knowledge is a bonus

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is $31.00 to $36.00 USD per hour. Placement within this range will be based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and overall qualifications.
