Atlas Copco Rental LLC is seeking a Regional Operation Manager for the Specialty Rental division in the West Region. The role reports to the VP Operations and drives sustainable, profitable growth across North America, fostering trust, collaboration, and continuous learning.

The position demands leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong focus on safety and customer value, with hybrid work from multiple US locations. Travel across North America is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering; MBA enhances candidacy.
• 3–5 years of operations management experience in technical or rental environments.
• Lean Management and Process Improvement practices knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Understand Atlas Copco's rental fleet, specs, maintenance, and customer challenges.
• Segment customer bases across construction, manufacturing, municipal, medical, and F&B industries to tailor service delivery.
• Improve process efficiency, maintenance strategies, and equipment reliability.
• Establish best-practice protocols across the region for uniform excellence.

Your role
Step into the role of Regional Operation Manager - Specialty Rental - West Region within Atlas Copco Rental LLC, where your drive for excellence will empower the Western Region Rental team to advance ambitious growth objectives. Reporting directly to the VP Operations - West Region, you’ll play a critical role in steering sustainable and profitable development across the Specialty Rental Division for North America. Your leadership will foster organizational growth, promoting a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous learning—ensuring that every team member is motivated, skilled, and committed to delivering outstanding value to our customers.

Your day-to-day

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Atlas Copco's diverse rental fleet, focusing on product specifications, operational applications, routine maintenance demands, and key customer challenges.
• Analyze and segment customer bases—including construction, manufacturing, municipal, medical, and food & beverage industries to tailor service delivery aligned with their distinct operational needs.
• Champion initiatives targeting continuous advancements in process efficiency, maintenance strategies, and overall equipment reliability.
• Establish and perpetuate best-practice protocols throughout the region, promoting uniform excellence and operational synergy.
• Collaborate closely with corporate operations excellence teams to align regional efforts with organizational strategic goals, fostering cross-functional synergy.
• Maintain unwavering compliance with stringent safety standards, ISO certifications, and applicable regulatory frameworks to safeguard all operational facets.
• Provide transparent, timely, and insightful performance and progress reports to senior leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Nurture a workplace characterized by collaboration, accountability, safety-consciousness, and relentless focus on customer satisfaction.

Your Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Operations, or Engineering disciplines, with a preference toward Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. An MBA enhances candidacy.
• Professional experience may substitute formal education at 1 to 2 years of relevant work per academic year.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years proven record in operations management within technical or rental-based environments.
• Hands-on familiarity with air or steam rental equipment or industrial field and workshop settings is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of Lean Management practices and Process Improvement methodologies.
• Experienced in overseeing fleet and equipment lifecycles efficiently.
• Proven leadership skills with a commitment to fostering team development and cohesion.
• Excellent communicator—both in writing and speaking—to effectively liaise internally and with clients.
• Willing and able to travel across North America, including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
• Strong aptitude for customer engagement and technical dialogue representing the company ethos impeccably.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at one of our locations in Salt Lake City UT, Brighton CO, Eloy AZ, Arlington WA, Lathrop CA or Santa Fe Springs CA, United States (US).

Salary Range

Salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000 USD, DOE.
