Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, and champion a proactive safety culture across our facilities in Illinois. You will collaborate with teams, train staff, and help maintain compliance with OSHA regulations while enabling safe operations.

The role requires at least 1 year in EHS or a related field, or a relevant degree, and experience with Word/Excel. Flexible shifts and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR; A Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background OR; 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training and promote proactive safety culture.
• Assist emergency response and ensure safety best practices across sites.
