Job summary

Galaxus Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Safety Manager to lead occupational safety initiatives, trainings and audits across multiple sites. You will act as the primary advisor to employees and management on safety topics, driving continuous improvements and compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in safety management, fluency in English and German, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to promote a safe, productive workplace. French is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in safety management or a comparable role with interfaces to workplace safety
• German occupational safety qualification preferred (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
• Very good English and German skills; French is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Maintain, sustain, and develop occupational health and safety across locations
• Act as first point of contact for employees, stakeholders, authorities and management on safety topics
• Promote safety awareness and integrate safety into daily operations
• Plan and conduct trainings, briefings, audits and risk assessments; support operations teams
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal safety requirements
• Implement safety projects to improve workplace safety and prevent accidents
• Support accident and near-miss investigations and implement corrective measures

As a trusted advisor to both employees and management, you drive safety awareness, lead trainings and audits, and implement impactful initiatives to prevent accidents and improve daily operations. • Taking responsibility for maintaining, sustaining, and further developing occupational health and safety, with possible expansion to a second location
• Acting as the first point of contact and advisor for employees, stakeholders, authorities and management on all topics related to workplace safety
• Promoting safety awareness and actively integrating occupational health and safety into daily operations
• Planning and conducting internal trainings, briefings, audits and risk assessments, and supporting the operations teams in implementing and deriving measures
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements in occupational safety and health in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders and support functions (Company physician, fire safety officer (Brandschutzbeauftragter), etc.)
• Independently implementing safety projects to improve workplace safety and prevent accidents on site
• Supporting accident and near miss investigations, and deriving and implementing appropriate corrective measures

Your skills

• At least 3 years of experience in safety management or in a comparable role with interfaces to workplace / occupational safety
• Preferable: Completed qualification as a Safety Specialist in German occupational safety: Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit / Sifa, ideally in a logistics environment
• Very good English and German skills are required; French is an advantage
