Job summary

GM is seeking an experienced investigator to lead impartial workplace investigations in our Missouri operations. You will manage planning, fact-finding, analysis, and reporting on complex discrimination and policy violations, partnering with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities include developing investigation plans, documenting findings, and ensuring confidentiality and quality. A strong background in HR, investigations, and internal controls is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in HR, Corporate Global Investigations, Labor Relations, Legal, or Compliance.
• Minimum of 3 years conducting workplace investigations into discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other policy violations.
• Ability to identify sources of information and conduct interviews at all levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate openly and timely.

Responsibilities

• Perform impartial investigations of misconduct and policy violations.
• Own end-to-end investigation process from planning through closure.
• Develop investigative plans covering scope, participants, and timelines.
• Execute and document investigations according to standards and GM protocols.
• Communicate results to HR, leaders, Legal, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Labor Relations, Legal, Audit, Security, and Operations.
