Versant Media in New York, NY seeks a Workplace Engineering Manager, End User Compute, to architect and lead unified endpoint services across 9,000+ devices, embedding security by design and aligning with Cyber Security and Workplace Product & Operations.
You'll manage 14+ engineers, set platform direction, govern standards, and drive observability and compliance tooling across Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints.
As Workplace Engineering Manager, End User Compute, you will be the technical architect and strategic leader for VERSANT’s end user compute platforms, shaping how unified endpoint services are designed, secured, and scaled across a rapidly evolving environment of 9,000+ managed devices and growing through M&A. This role is not a traditional software engineering management track; instead, it is engineered for leaders with deep experience in end user compute, workspace services, and enterprise workplace tooling.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering organization responsible for architecting standards, defining platform direction, and driving security-by-design practices across the end user compute stack. While your teams own operational execution, you are accountable for setting the vision, architecture, principles, and governance that guide large-scale endpoint and workspace solutions.
A core expectation is to embed security by design across endpoint platforms, identity, device posture, data protection, observability, and compliance, working closely with the Cyber Security organization. You will also partner with Workplace Product & Operations to ensure platform architectural alignment with strategic business requirements, service quality, and user experience expectations.
This role is aimed at seasoned workplace engineering leaders who understand enterprise device ecosystems, large-scale endpoint governance, and multi-tool platforms — not purely software development or application delivery teams.
