Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking a creative Workplace Design Consultant in Albany, NY. You will combine design expertise with business development, working closely with clients to understand needs, present solutions, and grow a portfolio of commercial interior design projects.

The role offers base salary plus commission and opportunities for career advancement within workplace solutions and contract furniture sectors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial interior design, workplace design, contract furniture, or a related field.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Comfortable meeting with clients, presenting design solutions, and discussing project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with experienced workplace consultants to support and grow an established portfolio of commercial clients.
• Build relationships with customers, architects, interior designers, facility managers, and commercial real estate professionals.
• Meet with clients to understand their workplace needs, design preferences, budgets, and project timelines.
• Develop and present creative workplace solutions, space plans, furniture recommendations, and design concepts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, and existing client relationships.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and project recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal design, sales, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales opportunities, and account activity within CRM systems.
• Take on increasing responsibility for client accounts while developing an independent sales pipeline.

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with commercial furniture, space planning, or workplace solutions.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, CET Designer, or similar design software.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and design specifications.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Comfortable meeting with clients, presenting design solutions, and discussing project requirements.
• Interest in business development, consultative selling, and account management.
• Self‑motivated, outgoing, and eager to develop new business relationships.
