Job summary

Lamar State College-Orange (LSCO) seeks a Workforce Trainer/Instructor to deliver high-quality continuing education and workforce training for adults. Courses may occur on campus, at partner facilities, or other designated sites and include technical, industrial, safety, or professional development topics.

Responsibilities include delivering classroom and hands-on instruction, preparing materials, maintaining a safe learning environment, tracking attendance and assessments, and collaborating

Qualifications

  • Experience in the subject area to be taught.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to adult learners.
  • Ability to provide classroom and hands-on instruction.
  • Ability to work with diverse educational and professional backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain required records and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom, laboratory, hands-on, or workplace-based instruction in assigned subject areas.
  • Prepare instructional materials, demonstrations, activities, and assessments for adult learners.
  • Maintain a safe, professional learning environment.
  • Demonstrate proper procedures, equipment use, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide feedback and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain attendance, completion, assessments, and other course documentation.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to support customized training needs and workforce development goals.
