The Business Services Consultant role focuses on consulting with local businesses, developing job orders, and guiding employers on hiring and retention strategies. You will report to the Business Services Manager and collaborate with program staff to match job seekers with work-based learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Strong understanding of workforce solutions, job placement strategies, and employer engagement practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with businesses.
• Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Familiarity with labor market trends, employment laws, and regulations affecting businesses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software for managing client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Valid Driver’s License; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional business relationships with local businesses and organizations through outreach.
• Plan and execute recruiting and hiring events for employers across industries and diverse job seekers.
• Collaborate with Community and Business partners to plan and execute events.
• Deliver presentations to employers and participants about employment opportunities and labor market information.
• Assist in implementing new Business Services programs and services with employers.
• Negotiate and develop job opportunities agreements with businesses for training and work experience programs.
• Interact with employers to create job orders and fill vacancies.
• Respond to and resolve local business needs using available resources.
• Track program participants and report on job placements and partnerships.
• Match job seekers to work-based learning opportunities and provide career planning advisement.
• Assist with placing participants in unsubsidized employment and monitor progress.
