Job summary

Somerville Public Schools seeks a Workforce Administrator to provide school-wide support for the Workforce Program, coaching staff and expanding adult education offerings. The role emphasizes collaboration with SCALE leadership, community partners, and DESE-aligned standards to improve learner outcomes.

Responsibilities include developing curricula, coordinating recruitment and internships, managing budgets and grants, and supervising both full-time and part-time staff, while ensuring alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of adult education teaching experience and 3+ years supervisory/administrative experience.
• Demonstrated experience in workforce training programs and DESE ACLS guidelines.
• Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole preferred.
• Proficiency with LACES software and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, hires, trains, and evaluates Workforce department staff; manages learning programs for adult learners.
• Develops adult education curriculum aligned with DESE guidelines, CCRSAE standards, and ELA frameworks.
• Directs student recruitment and builds employer partnerships for internships, work-based learning, and job placements.
• Manages department budgets, materials, and grant proposals; oversees LACES assessment data reporting.
• Designs, adapts, and updates adult workforce curricula to CCRSAE and DESE’s ELA Curriculum Frameworks.
• Identifies professional development needs for instructional staff and coordinates PD sessions.
• Oversees administration of DESE standardized assessments and reports program data to stakeholders.
