Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Labor Productivity Analyst and Workforce Optimization Specialist to support the Director of Clinical Labor Productivity & Workforce Optimization. You will perform workforce analytics, productivity monitoring, staffing analysis, and labor performance reporting across the system to align resources with patient volumes and financial goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 3–5 years in healthcare finance, workforce analytics, labor management, decision support, operations improvement or healthcare operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Adaptive to change and priorities quickly; meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Operate computer programs and software including advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats.
  • Ability to think independently and capable of independent decision making.
  • Experience working with large data sets and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Labor Productivity Governance Committee through providing reporting, analytics, and action-plan tracking materials to Director.
  • Monitor productivity performance across clinical and non-clinical departments.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of productivity targets.
  • Support position control review processes through workforce analytics and staffing assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with productivity action plans and workforce governance processes.
  • Workforce Analytics & Reporting
  • Maintain workforce productivity reports utilizing Premier OperationsAdvisor, Workday, API, and other workforce management tools. Ensures the delivery of consistent and accurate management reporting to accelerate decision making.
  • Provides reporting and analysis to support system wide standardization of productivity reporting, standards, units of service and application of internal benchmarks.
  • Assist in validating data integrity and benchmarking submissions.
  • Provides reporting and analysis from OperationsAdvisor system utilized by all facilities to assist management in monitoring operational and financial performance and evaluate opportunities for improvement. Develop internal benchmarking reports in which department level performance data is utilized to identify and enable process improvement to the level of best practice.
  • Staffing & Workforce Planning
  • Provides reporting and analysis support through:
  • Productivity standards
  • Productivity management and variance reporting using OperationsAdvisor and other tools and systems
  • Engagement process including watch list, action planning, and other migration strategies
  • Position control process and exceptions needing approval. Evaluate requests for replacement and new positions.
  • Roll-up reporting
  • Reports to highlight the performance of KPI
  • Support the Director with reporting and analysis for internal leading practices and/ or opportunities for cross-departmental or cross-facility projects that could improve workflow, eliminate waste, reduce costs, etc.
