Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a detail-oriented Workforce Planning and Data Analyst in Detroit to support workload management, planning, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. You will collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, monitor performance, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, plus experience with Power BI and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to collect, organize, validate, and interpret data accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into reports, analyses, and actionable recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support workload planning and workforce planning activities, including maintenance planning, recommendations, tracking, and follow-up.
• Monitor workload trends, resource utilization, and operational metrics to support planning and decision-making.
• Maintain and update tracking systems and standard processes to ensure accurate and timely information.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, performance metrics, and analytical summaries.
• Create clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand visual representations of data to communicate trends, findings, and performance indicators.
• Validate data and ensure reports accurately reflect the underlying datasets.
• Respond to reporting requests and modify existing reports to meet evolving business needs.
