Beyond Housing seeks a Workforce VISTA to strengthen the Beyond Housing Academy's capacity to connect residents with education, employment, and career advancement opportunities. You will research and map career pathways, develop partnerships with employers and training providers, and create resource guides and referral workflows.

The role emphasizes building lasting systems, addressing barriers like transportation and childcare, and delivering tools for Academy Advisors.

Qualifikationen

• Ideal candidates have an interest or experience in workforce development, education, community development, or a related field.
• Comfortable using Microsoft 365 and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrate a commitment to dignity, family choice, accountability, and economic mobility.

Aufgaben

• Research regional employment, education, credentials, apprenticeships, and career advancement opportunities, including requirements, costs, schedules, and locations.
• Map career pathways from entry through advancement and identify gaps between resident interests and available opportunities.
• Build a network of employers, colleges, training providers, and workforce partners; document eligibility, capacity, contacts, and referral steps.
• Explore tours, mentoring, mock interviews, internships, and hiring pathways; draft partnership and referral materials.
• Research funding and supports for training, transportation, childcare, technology, fees, tools, and uniforms; maintain a funding database and deadline calendar.
• Create an Academy Workforce Resource Guide and referral process to track outcomes.
• Gather staff and partner feedback, develop Academy Advisor training, and document tool maintenance.
