The role focuses on supporting Tax Expert staffing by analyzing workforce data, managing scheduling exceptions, and ensuring coverage aligns with demand. Candidates should be analytical and proficient with SQL, Python, spreadsheets, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of workforce management or scheduling experience.
• Strong knowledge of WFM concepts: shrinkage, adherence, utilization, service level.
• Experience with a WFM/scheduling platform.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with SQL and/or Python; automation experience.
• Comfort with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling exceptions, absences, no-shows, and adjustments.
• Monitor staffing levels, coverage gaps, adherence, shrinkage, and WFM metrics.
• Perform reporting, reconciliation, and gap analysis to identify trends.
• Prepare scheduling reports and packages for Real-Time Operations teams.
• Use SQL and Python for data analysis, reporting, and automation.
• Validate scheduling files and ensure accuracy before submission.
• Leverage AI tools to support queries, analysis, reporting, and daily operations.

Our client, a leader in financial & tax software, is hiring a Workforce Operations Analyst, to join their team in San Diego, CA.

**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits and paid holidays**

This role will support Tax Expert staffing and scheduling by analyzing workforce data, managing scheduling exceptions, identifying coverage gaps, and ensuring staffing aligns with customer demand. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable using SQL, Python, spreadsheets, and AI tools.
