Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Business Analyst for a workforce development SaaS platform to own discovery and requirements, translating program needs into build-ready stories and supporting UAT and go-live. You will document workflows, write user stories, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA to design solutions and manage scope.

You will facilitate workshops, map processes, and drive data mapping, reporting, and financial controls for grant-funded, compliance-driven projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in workforce development with program domain knowledge (WIOA, labor exchange, eligibility, intake, reporting, performance).
• Strong facilitation and documentation skills; can turn complex processes into testable requirements.
• Project and grant performance: Build a repeatable financial operating model for complex, compliance-heavy projects with budget-to-actual, burn rates, cost allocation, and fiscal metrics.
• Client-facing deliverables: Partner with QA to deliver audit-ready financials with our name on them.
• Finance cadence: Lead monthly close and quarterly reporting activities with a clear narrative.
• Controls: Strengthen controls and compliance while keeping the business moving fast.
• Strategy and Planning: Translate tradeoffs into decisions with forecasting and scenarios.
• Cross-functional problem-solving: Work with operations and client-facing teams to resolve financial issues.
• Scale the team; build the machine: Position us for growth and future chapters.

Responsibilities

• Attend client workshops to document workflows (intake/eligibility, enrollment, services, case notes, exits/follow-up).
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and configuration/business rules.
• Partner with Product/Engineering/QA to design solutions, clarify scope, and manage requirements changes.
• Support integrations and data mapping (imports/exports, APIs) and reporting requirements.
• Plan and execute UAT with customers; triage defects and validate fixes.
