Groundworks New Mexico is seeking a lead for workforce development policy research and advocacy to enhance economic opportunities for various worker groups. This role requires strong communication, project management skills, and a commitment to social justice.
Responsibilities include tracking legislation, developing policy recommendations, and facilitating community engagement. Bilingual English/Spanish is required, along with experience in civic engagement or similar fields.
Lead workforce development policy research, advocacy, coalition building, and implementation efforts. Advance economic opportunity for immigrant, rural, low-wage, and oil and gas workers through policy development, community engagement, and systems change strategies.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Track legislation and workforce initiatives, develop policy recommendations, facilitate stakeholder engagement, represent Somos in coalitions, coordinate community input, and support implementation and accountability efforts with government agencies and partners.
Other Information/Requirements:
Bilingual English/Spanish required. Experience in community organizing, civic engagement, advocacy, campaigns, or leadership development preferred. Strong communication and project management skills required. Commitment to social, economic, and racial justice. Valid driver's license and statewide travel required.
