Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) invites applications for a part-time Non credit Instructor to teach community education arts courses (ceramics, creative writing, dance, jewelry making, language, photography, etc.).

We seek an Associate Degree holder with 3+ years of art medium experience and 2+ years of teaching; hours are 5-10 per week and instructors provide their own equipment. This role supports lifelong learning in our local community.

Job description

Job Summary: Workforce Development Community Arts Education Instructors are hired to teach a variety of community education arts courses as needed. This includes but is not limited to courses such as ceramics, creative writing, dance, jewelry making, language, photography, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Arts or related field, 3+ years prior experience with course art medium, and 2+ years teaching experience (or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job).

Hiring Range:32-37

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree, 5+ years experience with course art medium, and 3+ years adult education teaching experience.

Job Specific Task List:

• 75% - Facilitate specific arts education instruction and provide students with meaningful feedback on course work - (Essential)
• 25% - Record attendance and prepare individualized lesson plans - (Essential)
