Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Delivery Leader in the United States. You will drive end-to-end platform initiatives, own roadmaps, and coordinate cross-functional teams through cloud migrations, automation, and policy enforcement.

You will govern planning events, run agile ceremonies, and ensure compliance artifacts are delivered while working with SRE and DevSecOps to validate requirements before deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 7+ years in infrastructure engineering or related roles.
Deep knowledge of cloud, network, database, storage, platform and middleware.
Experience delivering technical programs in enterprise IT or platform engineering.
Strong understanding of AWS/Azure/GCP and modern CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end execution of cross-functional platform initiatives.

Job description

Lead end-to-end execution of high-impact, cross-functional platform initiatives
Own delivery plans and quarterly roadmaps, defining scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
Facilitate large cross-functional programs such as cloud platform migrations, automation rollouts, observability frameworks, and policy-as-code enforcement
Run planning, standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Drive execution through SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models
Compile Platform Services metrics, status commentary, risks, and updates for committee reporting and executive governance
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to understand solution architectures and manage technical dependencies
Coordinate infrastructure provisioning, cloud resources, API interfaces, and migration activities
Resolve systems-level blockers including IAM constraints, security reviews, and cross-environment sequencing
Facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt workshops
Drive continuous improvement across Agile teams and ARTs
Serve as delivery point-of-contact for executives, product managers, engineering leads, and governance teams
Track and communicate burn down, velocity, risk register, completion percentage, feature progress, predictability, and risk burndown
Ensure operational artifacts such as runbooks, SLOs, documentation, and compliance evidence are delivered
Partner with SRE and DevSecOps to validate operational requirements before deployment
Coordinate release planning, change windows, and support readiness across environments
Design, build, manage, and implement enterprise infrastructure platforms and systems
Develop automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques for infrastructure availability and performance
Manage infrastructure projects and programs aligned with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure performance and reliability issues
Ensure compliance with technology strategies, standards, governance, risk, audit, and regulatory expectations
Review infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures
Provide technical guidance, training, and direction to infrastructure teams and junior technical professionals

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering
Advanced knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware
7+ years of experience in technical program or delivery management within enterprise IT, platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure organizations (preferred)
Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred)
Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD (preferred)
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or ServiceNow workflows (preferred)
Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift (preferred)
Experience with Vault, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or Splunk (preferred)
Ability to drive delivery across multiple concurrent efforts with complex interdependencies (preferred)
Strong written communication, stakeholder influence, and risk management skills (preferred)
Hands-on experience with Jira, Rally, or Confluence (preferred)
Exposure to internal developer portals and platform product management (preferred)
Background in software engineering, platform operations, or systems architecture (preferred)
Experience working with compliance-heavy environments such as NIST, SOX, FFIEC, or ISO (preferred)
English language fluency required
