Job summary

Principal Financial Group is seeking a Workflow Software Engineer to join the PCS Workflow team. You will design, build, test, and maintain BPM-driven automation, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver reliable integrations and measurable efficiency gains.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience and 2+ years with IBM BPM/BAW, with a hybrid in-office/work-from-office environment and opportunities for growth within a long-standing financial services leader.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of work experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on IBM BPM / IBM BAW experience.
• Strong planning, organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with databases, web languages, mainframe or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and lead workflow design sessions.
• Design, build, and test BPM workflows and automation end to end.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality integrations.
• Monitor and maintain BPM platforms, including performance tuning and upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation for workflows and configurations.
