OpTech is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to join a national client team. This role manages complex, multi-jurisdictional WC claims with end-to-end care and a client-first approach.

Fully remote position offering a base salary of $75,000 to $85,000 per year with bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and 401(k) match. 5+ years of experience preferred; IL/IN/MI/KY exposure valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated experience handling complex, multi-jurisdictional Workers' Compensation claims.
• Experience with IL, IN, MI, or KY regulations strongly preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication with a client-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end claim management, including investigations, coverage determinations, and exposure evaluations for complex indemnity and medical-only claims.
• Collaborate with nurse case managers, outcome managers, defense counsel, and employers to drive medical and return-to-work strategies.
• Negotiate settlements, manage litigation strategy, maintain reserve accuracy, and pursue subrogation opportunities.

Are you a seasoned Workers' Compensation Adjuster who thrives on managing complex, high-profile claims with precision and care? We are seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to join an industry-leading team, driving cost-effective claim outcomes while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Lifecycle Claim Management: Direct end-to-end investigations, coverage determinations, and exposure evaluations for complex indemnity and medical-only claims across Midwestern jurisdictions (IL, IN, MI, KY).
• Collaborative File Strategy: Work closely with nurse case managers, outcome managers, defense counsel, and employers to drive targeted medical and return-to-work strategies.
• Settlement & Litigation: Negotiate claim resolutions, direct legal strategy, manage reserve accuracy, and pursue subrogation recovery opportunities.
• Compliance & Service Standards: Ensure full compliance with state-specific Workers' Compensation statutes, client guidelines, and audit expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience handling complex, multi-jurisdictional Workers' Compensation claims (exposure to IL, IN, MI, or KY regulations strongly preferred).
• Technical Mastery: Proven track record in statutory compliance, reserving philosophy, litigation management, and structured settlement negotiations.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a client-first approach to stakeholder interactions.
• Technical Tools: Proficiency in modern claim management software and remote collaboration tools.
