The Thumbs Up Guys, a Charleston-based personal injury law firm, seeks an organized Workers' Compensation Paralegal for our North Charleston headquarters. You will support the Workers' Compensation Department with case reviews, drafting Form 50s, and coordinating with clients and insurers.
We value accuracy, a fast-paced mindset, collaboration, and a commitment to client service; Spanish-speaking is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 1–5 years workers' compensation paralegal experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Typing 50 words per minute or faster.
- Tech-savvy and able to work in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment.
- Great attitude and collaborative work style.
Responsabilités
- Review case facts and develop a plan of action with the attorney.
- Verify coverage on E-case and set up a claim with the Insurance Company.
- Draft Form 50s (hearing or no hearing).
- Call clients every 21 days with status updates.
- Monitor income benefits and ensure the client is receiving the maximum amount due.
- Identify issues with a case and discuss with the attorney.
- Assist attorney during hearing and manage depositions and mediations.
