Job summary

McAngus Goudelock & Courie in Atlanta is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Workers' Compensation team. Candidates should have 5-7 years of workers' compensation defense experience and be licensed to practice in Georgia.

The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business if possible, but is not required. You will handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, and settlements while coordinating with paralegals in a fast-paced environment and embracing innovative AI tools to enhance

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
