California Department of Industrial Relations in Oakland seeks a Workers’ Compensation Consultant to assist the public and analyze workers’ compensation applications.
The position works 40 hours per week in an office setting at 1515 Clay St, with light and standard office equipment. Telework may be available, consistent with Departmental policy.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Supervising Workers’ Compensation Consultant, the Workers’ Compensation Consultant (WCC) assists the general public, analyzes, and reviews documents and regulations concerning issues related to workers’ compensation application.

The incumbent will work 40 hours per week in an office setting with cubicles, natural and artificial lighting, and standard office equipment. The office is in an air-conditioned, high-rise building with elevator access. Telework may be available, consistent with Departmental policy.
Once formal training has been concluded, part-time telework may be offered upon approval by the Medical Unit Manager and consistent with the Department of Industrial Relations Telework Policy.
