Our client, a growing A-rated insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to support their expanding presence throughout the Southeast. This position will focus on handling moderate to complex lost-time Workers' Compensation claims, primarily in Florida, with additional exposure to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical claims professional with litigation experience who enjoys managing claims from initial intake through final resolution.

This is a fully remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 80–90 Workers' Compensation lost-time claims through the full claim lifecycle
• Handle claims primarily in Florida, with additional responsibility for claims in NC, SC, and/or GA
• Investigate claim facts, determine compensability, and evaluate potential exposure
• Communicate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and other involved parties throughout the claim process
• Coordinate and monitor medical treatment plans to ensure appropriate care and claim progression
• Review claim documentation, medical records, witness statements, and investigative reports to support claim decisions
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, company guidelines, and best claims handling practices

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience handling Workers' Compensation lost-time claims
• Prior experience working directly for an Insurance Carrier is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Florida Workers' Compensation claims handling requirements
• Experience handling claims in at least one additional state, including NC, SC, or GA
• Active Florida Adjuster's License required
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• $95,000 - $110,000+ annual base salary, depending on experience and qualifications
