The Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm is seeking a motivated Workers Compensation Attorney in Chicago, IL. You will represent injured workers, handle a caseload of claims, and provide expert legal advice to secure fair compensation.

Qualifications

JD and Illinois license to practice law
0-15 years of legal experience
Strong knowledge of workers' compensation law
Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience with legal research and case management software
Compassion for injured workers and justice-focused

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to discuss workers' compensation claims and advise on merits.
Manage a caseload from inception to resolution using SmartAdvocate.
Conduct in-depth legal research on workers' compensation laws.
Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, and settlement agreements.
Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel for favorable settlements.
Represent clients at IWCC hearings, trials, and appeals.
Maintain regular client and insurer communications.
Explore mediation or alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.
