Qualifications

• 3+ years of workers’ compensation attorney experience.
• Admitted to practice in New York.
• Strong familiarity with workers’ compensation claims handling and appearances.
• Ability to manage files independently and communicate effectively with clients.
• Organized, responsive, and comfortable in a fast-paced plaintiff-side environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle workers’ compensation matters on behalf of injured workers from intake through resolution.
• Manage files, deadlines, and case strategy across an active caseload.
• Communicate with clients regarding benefits, treatment, status, and next steps.
• Prepare and review filings, applications, and other workers’ compensation documents.
• Appear for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings before the relevant board or tribunal.
• Work with medical records, wage information, and supporting documentation to advance claims.
• Negotiate settlements and help drive matters toward favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases efficiently and effectively.
