Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation attorney to manage a busy NY caseload from intake to resolution. You will represent clients at hearings, depositions, and settlements, while mentoring paralegals and staff in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Applicants must be admitted to the NY Bar, have 3+ years of NY Workers' Compensation experience, and be fluent in Spanish and English. On-site roles in Bronx or Rockville Centre with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Active NY Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of NY Workers' Compensation attorney experience.
• Experience handling hearings, depositions, conferences, and settlement negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Workers' Compensation caseload from intake through final resolution.
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, conferences, and settlement negotiations.
• Provide strategic legal guidance and maintain communication with clients throughout their cases.
• Review and evaluate new case opportunities during intake.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and other case-related documents.
• Ensure compliance with NY Workers' Compensation Board rules, deadlines, and procedures.
• Supervise and mentor paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop effective case strategies and maximize client outcomes.
