The role involves analyzing worker’s compensation payments, gathering records, following up with payers, and preparing initial bill packets or appeals, with other duties as required. Strong communication and data privacy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Healthcare billing or collections experience (1–2+ years).
• Customer service experience (1+ years).
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to handle PHI with privacy and security.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate worker’s compensation claim payments using EnableComp’s software to ensure reimbursements follow applicable fee schedules or contracts.
• Research, request and obtain pertinent medical records and documents, then submit with hospital claims to insurers for prompt reimbursement.
• Conduct timely follow-up with payers to ensure documents are received and reimbursement is prompt.
• Prepare correct Workers’ Comp initial bill packet or appeal letter with supporting documentation for submission.
• Other duties as required.
