The Maine Municipal Association is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Representative to join the Risk Management Services team. You will manage lost time claims from investigation to resolution, determine compensability, evaluate exposure and reserves, and negotiate settlements under Maine statutes and regulations.

• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and claims management practices.
• Understanding of medical terminology, occupational health, and risk management principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document claim activity and produce reports.

Responsabilidades

• Manage workers’ compensation claims from investigation through resolution, including determining compensability, evaluating exposure and reserves, and negotiating settlements.
• Calculate and administer indemnity and medical benefits in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with members, medical providers, vendors, and legal counsel to support return-to-work efforts, manage litigation, and resolve claims efficiently.
• Complete required filings and reporting, maintain accurate documentation, and provide guidance to program participants on claim processes and best practices.
