Job summary

Smithfield in Sioux Falls is seeking a Workers' Compensation Manager to oversee all workers' compensation claims and return-to-work activities. You will be the primary liaison among employees, TPAs, medical providers, and management to ensure timely resolution, regulatory compliance, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing workers' compensation claims.
• Leadership experience with team development is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims from injury reporting through resolution.
• Coordinate with TPAs, medical providers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective claim management.
• Review claims and medical documentation to support timely outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Lead return-to-work programs and coordinate employee work restrictions and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate claim records and support audits and reporting requirements.
