Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers’ Compensation with jurisdiction knowledge in MD & NJ in a hybrid/remote setup. The role involves analyzing complex claims, negotiating settlements, and ensuring timely adjudication according to client requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of claims management experience and a HS diploma or GED, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and licensing in related jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing workers' compensation claims to determine benefits.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to excess carriers and responding to directions in a professional and timely manner.
