Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Workers' Compensation to analyze claims for clients, determine benefits due, and adjudicate within service levels. You will work in a hybrid model (2 in-office days, 3 days remote within 25 miles; fully remote outside).

The role emphasizes careful investigation, data gathering, and timely communication with claimants and clients. Ideal candidates have 5 years' claims experience, HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred), and licensing familiarity for MD/NJ

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process workers' compensation claims to determine benefits and exposure.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner.
