Job Summary

To work under supervision to perform a variety of strenuous unskilled and semi-skilled tasks.

Job Responsibilities

1. Digging, excavating, trenching, and backfilling
2. Keeping facility clean and organized
3. Building forms and stripping forms
4. Mixing and pouring concrete and castables
5. Performing or assisting with minor maintenance and repairs
6. Assist in performance of clean-up prior and after maintenance work
7. Adhere to all CEMEX and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
8. Meet or exceed company safety standards
9. Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

1. Be able to read, write, and speak English
2. High school preferred
3. Bilingual a plus

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Bilingual a plus

Working Conditions

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor work
• Must wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing
• Heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
• Must be able to communicate effectively and function safely around heavy equipment
• Must pass DOT physical including back x-ray, hearing test, and drug/alcohol screening
